Who We Are

CheckMyCarDeal (checkmycardeal.com) is an independent educational resource for car buyers, operated by Omar Arteaga. We are not a dealership, lender, lease company, or manufacturer, and we are not affiliated with any of them. This policy explains how information is handled when you use our website, our Guided Assessment or Free Rate Check tools, our contact form, or our WhatsApp line.

Information We Collect

We collect information in two ways:

• Information you choose to provide. If you use the Guided Assessment or Free Rate Check tool, you select answers from preset ranges (for example, an income range or a credit score band) — we do not ask for your exact income, account numbers, or a credit pull. If you submit the contact form, we collect whatever you enter into it (typically your name and contact details) so we can respond to your request. If you message us on WhatsApp, we receive what you send us there, subject to WhatsApp's own privacy practices.
• Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our hosting provider may log basic technical information (such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited) for security and site-reliability purposes. As of this policy's last update, we do not run third-party analytics or advertising tracking scripts on this site. If that changes, we will update this policy to describe what's added.

How We Use Information

• To calculate and display your estimated results within the Guided Assessment or Free Rate Check tool — this calculation happens in your browser using the ranges you selected; it is an educational estimate, not a lender quote or approval.
• To respond to messages you send us through the contact form or WhatsApp.
• To maintain and secure the website.

We do not sell your information. We do not share it with dealerships, lenders, or marketing lists.

Third-Party Services

Our contact form is processed through Formspree, a third-party form-handling service, so that submissions reach us by email. Formspree processes that submission data under its own privacy policy. Our WhatsApp button links to Meta's WhatsApp service, which operates under its own privacy policy once you start a conversation there. We use Google Fonts to load typefaces on this site.

Cookies

This site does not currently set marketing or tracking cookies. Your browser may store minimal technical data (such as session state) needed for the site to function normally.

Data Retention

Contact form submissions and WhatsApp messages are retained only as long as needed to respond to your inquiry and for basic business record-keeping, after which they may be deleted. Guided Assessment and Free Rate Check answers are not stored on our servers — the calculation happens in your browser and is not saved unless you separately submit it to us through the contact form.

Your Choices

You can use the Guided Assessment and Free Rate Check tools without submitting any personal contact information. If you've contacted us and want your information removed from our records, or have questions about this policy, reach out using the information below.

Children's Privacy

This site is intended for adults evaluating vehicle financing and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
